At the center of our course is a heart—a universal symbol of empathy, compassion, care, and resilience. These foundational qualities are central to trauma-informed education. The palms facing each other highlights the vital importance of support, tenderness, mutual aid, and human connection—cornerstones of trauma-informed care. It represents the collaborative and community-focused nature of our journey, emphasizing the crucial role of building relationships and co-regulating within educational settings. Through this symbol, we recognize and value the partnership between educators and students, a connection that strengthens our collective ability to heal and grow.
